How to find us

We are located in a village between Penrith and Carlisle called Skelton.

If coming through Skelton, turn left off Ellonby Road when you reach the crossroads at Ellonby, passing a farm on the corner on your left. The entrance to Welly and Tails is around 100 metres further down that road, just past a layby.

We have signs on the entrance – make sure not to turn down the farm track, if you don’t see our sign on the roadside then you’re in the wrong place 🙂

The perfect day out for your dog!

More than just a field.

I am IMDT trainer qualified and a behaviour consultant with many years studying reactivity and aggression – and I’ve designed the park to be a paradise for reactive dog owners.

There are free training guides in our shelter to help you with reactivity and recall, challenges throughout the year to work on and fun photo opportunities at special times, such as Christmas and Halloween.

** EXEMPT DOGS ** I wanted to address how we operate for owners with exempted dogs, as I've had a couple of messages from clients with exempted dogs in the past few days. 1) We DO accept exempted dogs. 2) There is NO extra charge for exempted dogs Our insurance just asks that: ❤️ Only dogs from the same household can attend (so if you have four dogs and one is exempted then you can bring all four, but you couldn't meet up with your friend and their dogs if you're bringing an exempted dog) ❤️ Exempted dogs must keep their muzzle and lead on in the car park but these can be removed once you are in the dog park and the gate has been securely shut. It's important to remember that every insurance provider may have different criteria, so I can't comment on why one place may operate differently or not but this is (thankfully) how ours works which we're grateful for 🙏 Hope that clears things up 🥰

** NEW DOG PARK RULE ** When visiting in future, we will NOT be allowing single dog visits. All dogs MUST now bring matching backup singer dogs for their visit going forward, to allow for perfectly symmetrical photos. Many thanks and thank you for respecting our dog park rules 🙏🙏 (only joking, have to say as sometimes I get messages worrying about if it's true 😂😂)
