Settling a New Rescue Dog

Overview

When a new rescue dog joins our home, we need to give them a period to decompress. Here are some tips to help them settle, following the 333 rule.

Why this is important:

3 days: Give your dog a quiet space to decompress - joining a new household can be stressful

3 weeks: If your dog is ready, you can start to explore walks and activities outside of your home and garden

3 months: Your dog is now starting to get really settled, and so some other behaviours may crop up at this point
